This page contains a listing of ideas (and helpful tutorials) to get you started with digial scrapbooking in PowerPoint 2007:

Why Use PowerPoint 2007 for Digital Scrapbooking? How would you like to create digital scrapbooks with PowerPoint? This article will show you how you can use PowerPoint 2007 (and PowerPoint 2008 for the Mac) to create digital scrapbooks.

Change Page Size (PowerPoint 2007): Most PowerPoint slides are rectangular -- however most scrapbook pages are square. Since we want our digital scrapbooks to look just like the conventional scrapbooks, we'll have to change their size to a standard scrapbook size.

Disable Image Compression (PowerPoint 2007): If you create your digital scrapbooks in PowerPoint 2007, you should be aware that all the high resolution (150 dpi, 200 dpi, 300 dpi, etc.) content that you bring inside the presentation scrapbook gets automatically downsized to 96 dpi. That happens because PowerPoint presentations are primarily intended to be projected or shown.

Applying Scrapbook Backdrops in PowerPoint (PowerPoint 2007): The tutorial shows you how you can use all the free backdrops that you can download from this site.

Changing Text Color: This tutorial shows how you can change the text color of the title and text placeholders in any PowerPoint digital scrapbook you create.

Using Embellishments: All embellishments on this site are transparent PNGs that are easy to use, and can be inserted like any other graphic in your PowerPoint slides.

Sample PowerPoint Scrapbooks: Although all these scrapbooks were created in Microsoft PowerPoint, we made sure they use the square layout that's typical of a traditional scrapbook.
